Each ARTS FIRST festival is a unique annual celebration of the Harvard community’s artistic creativity. We invite you to join us for ARTS FIRST 2022 on April 28-May 1, 2022! We look forward to welcoming you to a variety of in-person, hybrid, and virtual events showcasing the creativity of the Harvard arts community through performances, art exhibitions and art-making activities.

Please note that plans for on-campus live performances are subject to change based on evolving university COVID policies.

Produced by the Office for the Arts at Harvard, ARTS FIRST 2021 welcomed artists and audiences worldwide to experience live virtual events and video performances presented in spaces on campus, outdoors around Cambridge and across the globe. Dynamic performance showcases celebrated student and Harvard-affiliated artists in a wide variety of music, dance, theater, film and multidisciplinary arts – plus a series of conversations with past Harvard Arts Medalist recipients offered transformative windows into artmaking.

All the arts. All are welcome.

ARTS FIRST is Harvard’s annual showcase of student and faculty creativity. Produced by the Office for the Arts, with support from the Board of Overseers of Harvard University, the festival is a public event with many free performances and activities for Harvard and community members of all ages.
