AllBright Art Crawl is a relaxed group bike ride covering about 5 miles during the afternoon of October 13. This free, family-friendly event will link the two neighborhoods of Allston and Brighton through a guided cycling tour along with 10 pedicabs. The afternoon’s activities will be rounded out by a variety of arts events planned for the weekend.
Pedicabs, as well as online and printed maps, will be available at no cost, to ensure that everyone can enjoy the tour, including visitors of all ages, abilities, and those who prefer to explore on their own.
Riders will start at Boston Landing at noon on Saturday, October 13, and roll through Brighton Center and Allston Village. Along the route, they will enjoy musical performances, art-making, demonstrations, local bites, public art, and architecture. This first of its kind event will also feature popup galleries with work for sale from over 100 local artists.
The AllBright Art Crawl is a partnership between Allston Village Main Streets, Brighton Main Streets, Allston Open Studios, Unbound Visual Arts (Brighton), and Allston Pudding Music. Commonwheels Bicycle Collective and Boston Pedicabs will guide the tour. Boston Landing has provided Athlete’s Park for the tour’s kickoff.
Although joining the Crawl is completely free, for both cyclists and pedicab riders, space is limited. Organizers recommend registering via the Eventbrite link.
