What’s it about?
This work is a more light hearted work from my collection. I wanted to play with characters and create a design that uses form to change the character and make a silly scene of someone sitting and resting.

Where is your favorite public art piece in the area?
There’s an electrical box down the street from me that has amazing illustration of strange looking dogs that I love to see. I know it’s not the most serious answer but I really am in love with it!

What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?
I love to lounge around with a good video game!

Hokkaido Ramen Santouka

What have you learned about your creative practice in recent years?
I am far more interested in the process of making work than I had originally thought! I love to make images but printing the work and doing hand embellishment has become my favorite part of the process!

What is a piece of advice you would give to your past self as a young artist?
Work hard but remember to take care of your body. It’s all about respecting the balance between work and play!

What is your dream project to work on?
I’d love to work on a large scale printmaking project where multiple people work together to make one final print.
