Isabelle Higgins is a Boston-based painter who received her BFA in Painting from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2019. Saira is a mixed media artist based in Boston whose work explores the relationship between the sciences, our lived experience, and the natural world. She’s drawn to the patterns that show up at every scale, such as branching, symmetry, recursion, and iteration. Using discarded materials and outdated textbooks, she works mostly in collage and watercolor.

Leah Netsky uses photographs as a material to create larger works. Pairing images with other images, as well as digital or mechanical processes and products, she explores the growing interaction between animal and plant life, science, and technology.

SADIE SAUNDERS

Sadie is a cartoonist, educator, and community organizer from Boston, MA. Their work focuses on risograph printed mini-comics, zines, and books that center on joy and humor, often drawing from stories about her own life. In addition to her creative work, Sadie teaches at several Boston based institutions and she serves as a co-director for MICE, The Massachusetts Independent Comics Expo.

Alexandra Gallant-Lee is a multi-award winning cartoonist, artist, illustrator, designer, sculptor, and science communicator. Her work is playful and colorful, often focusing on science, nature, technology and pop culture. A natural curiosity and a creative mindset give her the ability to work across medium and concept effortlessly, with work spanning from illustration and comics to animation, photography, videography, sculpture, costume design, prop design and countless other creative outlets.

MEGAN AKI

Megan Aki (they/them) is an artist, illustrator, and creative business owner based in Somerville, MA. Through watercolor and gouache paintings and digital animations, they explore themes of collective care and connection with our natural environment and each other, engagement and play with our child-like selves, and the creative process as an affirmation and mantra practice. Megan’s work reflects their multitude of identities as a queer, trans non-binary, Japanese American, an empath, dreamer, and a storyteller.

ABIGAIL ECKSTROM

Abigail Eckstrom is an animator, illustrator, and picture framer in central Massachusetts. After graduating from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, she worked briefly as an illustrator before finding the art of picture framing. Lately she has been finding joy in exploring new mediums, like mosaics and knitting.
